Monday Mornings

I couldn't help but watch you shower sometimes.
I used to love the way that, at just the right time in the morning, the sun's rays would hit the glass shower panes, turning your jet black hair to an almost golden brown. My gabriel, archangel to all the love I had to offer.
I loved how the water would so delicately travel from the spigot to every part of your beautiful body. Especially to the parts so well remembered from the night before. The tiny droplets made you seem more powerful; only in reality you were as gentle as those droplets.
You'd notice and blush. God, I love those dimples.

The BirdI fly. Soaring through a cool wind I search for anything to cover me; something to block the heavy rains I feel coming from the south. I see a gathering of trees down below but I realize it will not be enough to keep from getting wet. (It's difficult to fly with heavy feathers.) I remember the home mother made inside a hole of a cliff nearby and I wonder if it is still there, unoccupied. I notice no one is home and so I assume this temporary home. So I've decided it would be best if I just store my old writings. I may come back someday (who knows when...maybe tomorrow...maybe 4 years...) when my inspirations seem to be more alive.
